The astounding success of Minecraft has taken the world by surprise. With only less than three years of existence, it has earned almost more than 30 million dollars and counting. With this new world of smart phone apps and social networking games, creating a whole new concept of gaming is like “catching a greased pig”. But, a Swedish programmer by the name of Markus Persson has threaded the needle and turned the impossible to possible.
Emerging from the underground world of first person-sandbox-RPG gaming all the way to the big game industry, this expansive and really addictive game has swept the competition. Making its way to the top has also opened the doors to partnership. And guess what, Lego decided to team up! You got that right! The number one toy company in the world has decided to combine with Minecraft.
Growing up, Lego has inspired Markus in creating ideas for his future creation. It was like destiny in the making when these two colossal enterprises decided get together. Unfortunately! They’re not really merging, though it still is a possibility, they’re just creating a new concept for Lego resembling the game. But this idea of business team ups has paved the way for other companies to understand some necessary steps to achieve even greater heights.
Like Minecraft, many businesses have started off from virtually nothing and eventually making it big. And as successful as it is, it still opened up to opportunities like teaming up with Lego. Most businesses today don’t realize the advantages of joining groups, like business masterminds or Universal Music Group, to not only level themselves with big names but to learn and understand what the true meaning of success is all about.
